Distributing Water Filters for Low Income CKDu Patients

A programme to distribute water filters for low income CKDu patients under the Presidential Task Force on Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease was held 19th March 2019 at the Mahawilachchiya divisional secretariat auditorium under the patronage of Anuradhapura district project co-ordinator Member of Parliament , Hon. Duminda Dissanayake.

At this event 90 water filters were distributed among low income CKDu patients.

Non-Government Organizations based Programme for 'Tripitakabhivandana Week'

Non-Government based organizations programme was held centering the Rajarata Praja Kendraya to mark the Fourth day of Tripitakabhivandana week which falls today (March 19th). In this event Ven. Kaluwachchimulle Sarananda Thero of Kimbulwewa Sri Dharmawardhanaramaya delivered a dhamma sermon on the Tripitaka.

Schools and Piriven Programme for 'Tripitakabhivandana Week'

Variety of programmes centering the schools and piriven were organized in Mahawilachchiya Divisional Secretariat division to mark the third day of Tripitakabhivandana week which falls today (March 18).

During this event dhamma sermon and awareness programme on Tripitaka was held to create awareness among school children and students of pirivens on the Tripitaka. Buddhist monks representing temples in the division, School teachers and students participated in this event.
